Furnished semi-private rooms and private rooms ensure privacy and provide residents with opportunities to develop friendships. While we encourage self-care to preserve the dignity of each resident, our understanding staff is eager to provide the assistance needed to make residents' lives comfortable.
We encourage residents to create a warm, home-like atmosphere by decorating their rooms with familiar, cherished belongings. While we understand that Bedford Colonial Courtyard isn't home, we believe we can be the next best option.
Colonial Courtyard Services
If and whenever you should need it, caring personal assistance from our dedicated staff of healthcare professionals is always available.
You can be assured of receiving the level of independence you desire and the level of assistance you may need, all while living in a safe, friendly, home environment.
We offer three nutritious meals per day including the preparation of special diets, supervised bathing if needed, housekeeping duties, bed and bath linens, and medication assistance. Personal laundry service is available for an added monthly charge. Hairdresser services are available at our on-site beauty shop.

Special Care
With our enhanced levels of care, more frail residents can enjoy the same wonderful environment while receiving the advantage of increased assistance. Residents benefit from a setting and services tailored to meeting their individual needs in a professional, dignified manor.
We want to provide the proper care for each resident for as long as possible. Listed below are descriptions of each level of service and care offered. To be fair and equitable to all residents, monthly fees increase in conjunction with the care provided.
Levels of Service and Care
LEVEL I For independent residents who require supervision and encouragement.
* Minimal assistance with activities of daily living including assistance with scheduled bathing
* Assistance with routine medications
* Independent with ambulation and toilet
* No behavioral issues
LEVEL II
Includes all LEVEL I services plus the following:
* Requires assistance with one or two activities of daily living
* Assistance with ambulation to meals and activities
* Assistance with medications including management of occasional injections
* Assistance and management of occasional incontinence
* Observation for disruptive behavior
LEVEL III
Includes all LEVEL II services plus the following:
* Requires enhanced assistance with three activities of daily living
* Assistance and management of a continuously incontinent resident
* Enhanced skin care
* Assistance and management of a resident requiring continuous oxygen
* Management of increased confusion or behavioral issues but can be easily redirected
* Assistance with routine injections and monitoring of blood sugars
LEVEL IV
Includes all LEVEL III services plus the following:
* Requires enhanced assistance with four or more activities of daily living
* Residents who are combative during care
LEVEL V
Includes all LEVEL IV services plus the following:
* Severe cognitive impairment who do not understand or respond to verbal or physical direction
* Totally dependent upon assistance with activities of daily living and mobility
