Our Independent Living Center provides carefree living for active adults. Without the responsibility of lawn care, snow removal, property maintenance and other tasks, which take valuable time and energy, our residents are free to enjoy the activity and programs at Rockhill Mennonite Community. They have choices of what they "want to do", rather than the pressures of what they must do.

Time may now be spent cultivating new skills or participating in interesting adventures. Skill classes, leisure swimming, and water games, as well as individually designed exercise programs are available in the aquatic/fitness center. State of the art fitness equipment augments a holistic wellness program.

Residents express their creativity through woodworking projects, gardening (both indoor and outdoor), the writers' club, or taking part in a variety show. Keeping in touch with the broader world is invited through spending time in the computer center, reading room, or library. Attending dinner theatres, concerts, tours, and on-campus dining experiences can also add to life-long cultural and arts interests.

The Residents' Association offers a broad range of opportunities to become involved in the life of the community and planning what makes life at Rockhill fulfilling. We welcome suggestions for activities, programs, and trips, as well as input into the workings of the community as part of our desire to make residents the focus of a committed and caring staff.

Assisting in maintaining a healthy lifestyle is one of Rockhill's commitments to residents. Health Services and wellness programs directed by professional nurses are available in our Independent Living Center Clinic, as well as a 24 hours a day response by professionals in case of emergencies. Full time chaplain services and spiritual activities are offered to those who choose to participate. Residents are encouraged to maintain ties with their lifelong church communities and spiritual support systems.
