For More Than Three Decades

Shenango Presbyterian Home has provided excellent care, dedication and service to its residents. Recognizing the need to expand on the continuum of care provided at the Shenango Home, Shenango Presbyterian SeniorCare developed Shenango on the Green. These apartments are for seniors with active, independent lifestyles, not requiring all of the services available in an assisted living facility, but who still want the ease and convenience of living in a Continuing Care Retirement community (CCRC).

Shenango on the Green offers affordable apartment
living with a focus on comfort and convenience.
Our well appointed one-and-two bedroom apartments are available
in a variety of floor plans, some offering porches, balconies or
sunrooms. These living spaces were created to provide apartments that are practical,
as well as spacious.

Each apartment features a modern fully-equipped kitchen, one or two bathrooms with slip-resistant tub/showers and attached safety assist bars. An optional washer/dryer utility closet
is available in select units. Plush wall-to-wall carpeting is included, as well as high quality flooring and tasteful window treatments.

In addition, generous closet space and additional storage lockers enable you to bring along the “treasures” that will make these apartments your home. Each apartment also features phone jacks, cable and computer port hookups, as well as state-of-the-art safety and security systems, including smoke detectors, sprinklers and a personal emergency call system. Interior and exterior reserved parking is available to residents who choose to bring a car.

When planning our community, Shenango on the Green has taken care of all the details to make your retirement years more enjoyable.

The handsome library is a welcome retreat for reading books or the daily newspaper. Comfortable parlors with calming atmospheres and cozy fireplaces encourage residents to share time visiting or relaxing. An area for worship is also available.

A bustling activity room encourages fellowship and opportunities to foster new and old interests. Craft enthusiasts will enjoy new projects in the arts and crafts room, while others will find eager competitors in the card/game room. A fitness center is available for those interested in keeping physically fit using the latest in cardiovascular and weight training equipment. Residents also benefit from an in-house gift shop, barber shop and a full-service beauty/barber salon.

Shenango on the Green residents will enjoy restaurant-style meals in our Westminster Room or more casual dining at The Grill. Twenty meals per month are included in your monthly service fee and reservations can be made for breakfast, lunch or dinner, whatever best fits your active schedule. Family members and friends are always welcome to join you for a meal in our private dining room.

Shenango on the Green’s Wellness Suite is equipped to provide dentistry, podiatry and optometry services to interested residents. Our Medical Director, as well as other visiting physicians, is also available to assist with meeting the medical needs of our residents.

Shenango on the Green’s quality services promote Care-Free Living!
Enjoy maid service twice a month, annual heavy cleaning and routine maintenance repairs. All exterior maintenance services, such as landscaping, lawn care and snow removal are included in the monthly fee. All utilities except for telephone are covered including: water, sewage, garbage removal, electric, heating and cooling, basic television cable, and laundry hookup.

Scheduled van transportation to doctor and professional appointments is provided. Residents also enjoy planned trips to local churches, cultural and social events, as well as shopping trips to local malls and grocery stores. Day and overnight trips to interesting destinations are offered.
