Chandler Estate is not a nursing home, but a Personal Care Home, providing a wide range of customized living arrangements and care to all of our residents. We offer independent living cottages and garden apartments in addition to personal care suites and rooms. Personal care can be based on a physician's determination but some senior adults desire independence with assistance in some areas of everyday living such as bathing, medication reminders, food preparation, cleaning or other services. Others do not have a choice and need these services for their health and safety.
Here at The Chandler Estate, we promote an active, elegant, rural and independent lifestyle molded to each individual's needs. We are a step above the 'normal' senior living facility and are close to shopping and services. Our mission is to provide quality care and accommodation at a fair cost to our over 62 population.

Chandler Estate IV offers not only a full variety of support services to keep residents in our units as independent as possible but also provides convenience for friends and family to visit and remain in constant contact with residents.
A perfect location that is developed on 25 acres of residential property, Chandler Estate IV is only about 1-1/2 hours from metropolitan Philadelphia and New York City, just north of Allentown and just south of the beautiful Pocono Mountains.
World class shopping, dining, area parks, entertainment and churches are only minutes away. The Lehigh Valley offers attractions such as the Musikfest in Bethlehem, The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival at DeSales University, wineries, sport such as minor league baseball, basketball, and of course area university athletics.
In addition to area attractions, our residents can join in on our planned activities and excursions. Trips to area attractions are planned on a monthly basis and all residents are encouraged to participate.
PERSONAL CARE ACCOMODATIONS
Personal Care consists of licensed, personal care accommodations in private rooms, semi-private rooms and suites. It is located on 24 acres of beautiful residential land with maintained grounds which provide for a relaxing and quiet living environment.
Types of Admission
* Personal Care
Our staff provides personal care services designed to address the social, physical and spiritual needs of each resident. The need for personal care can be recommended by a physician or you may just recognize that some assistance is necessary for bathing, medication reminders, food preparations, cleaning, etc.
* Respite Stays
These are short term or temporary stays that provide families or caregivers a break for vacations, illness of a caregiver or an emergency situation. This option is also used after a hospital stay for strengthening prior to returning home. (We do require a four day stay).
* Non-Medical Stays
This option is for those who do not require assistance with the activities of daily living or medication. This care includes three meals each day, snacks, complete activities program, housekeeping and weekly linen service. The convenience of services afforded to the main building such as pharmacy delivery, mail to your door, etc.

INDEPENDENT LIVING
Independent Living offers a full variety of services to maintain an active lifestyle and be as independent as possible.
Garden Unit Residences
Garden units are separated from the main building and are situated in ranch style homes. Each building has just four units which provides the security of neighbors, yet the privacy that is desired for independent living.
Chandler Estate IV offers a variety of support services to keep residents in our units as independent as possible. For those occasions when additional services are needed, we are only a phone call and footsteps away.
Cottages
Cottages are situated on a private cul-de-sac where individual and duplex single level units form a cozy community.
Interior and exterior maintenance and lawn care are provided including snow removal. We can provide housekeeping services for a reasonable fee. Many options for assistance are available including meal delivery.
A tenant Social Manager coordinates shopping, special events, outings, trips and appointments. You should have the time to enjoy yourself and time with your family.
