Dock Woods Community is a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community sponsored by the Franconia Mennonite Conference of Mennonite Church USA. Through Dock Manor and Dock Village, we also offer affordable housing for older adults and families who qualify for rental assistance.
Our mission is to enhance the lives of older adults and families, in a way that is rooted in the Mennonite heritage of Christian values.
Since the establishment of our first facility in 1942, Dock Woods Community has grown and diversified to meet the evolving needs of people in our region. Today, Dock Woods offers a wide range of housing and life-enriching services for older adults and families on two expansive campuses in Lansdale and Hatfield.
Personal Care
Personal Care, frequently called Assisted Living, provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment where residents enjoy their own private one-bedroom or studio apartment, with access to assistance as needed.
Because many people desire to stay in their own home as long as possible, it can be difficult when the time comes to explore other living arrangements. When older adults and families consider Personal Care, it is typically out of concern for a loved one's comfort, health, and social well-being.
Though a family member may require some help with their daily activities, Dock Woods Community recognizes that people exploring Personal Care are very interested in maintaining their independent lifestyle.

The benefits of Personal Care are most often recognized after the move -- with less focus on caring for a home and other chores, residents can rekindle hobbies, form valuable friendships and explore new recreational and service opportunities. Staff members work with residents and their families to prepare customized care plans designed to ensure the resident is able to maintain his or her independence as long as possible.
