Welcome to Simpson Meadows, one of Chester County, Pennsylvania’s, premiere Continuing Care Retirement Communities, providing Residential Living and Residential Plus, Assisted Living and Dementia Care Assisted Living. Simpson Meadows is Chester County’s premier non-profit continuing care retirement community with a 141- year history through our affiliation with Simpson House. Our philosophy of care includes maximizing resident independence at an affordable price. Our community includes Independent Residential and Residential Plus apartments, Assisted Living and a specialized Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care Neighborhood. Simpson Meadows is connected to the complete skilled nursing services available in Simpson House’s Flanagan Health and Rehabilitation Center that provides short-term, sub-acute care and long-term skilled nursing care.
Although Simpson Meadows has historical ties to the United Methodist Church, we are truly a community that values diversity and individuality, and welcomes all adults 62 and older without regard to religious, ethnic, racial or economic background.
Our assisted living apartments make living so very easy. Just a few steps and you will find dining and living areas where new friendships and happy times will be yours. Our beautiful dining room, living room, library and activities center are all on the same floor with our spacious apartments which have their own private bath and kitchenette.
Fees are on a month to month basis with no entrance fee.
ASSISTED LIVING
Assisted Living services include:
* Three nutritious and tasty meals served daily by our wait staff
* Snacks available 24 hours a day
* Daily bed making, as needed
* Weekly housekeeping
* Flat linen service
* Personal laundry
* Special diets
* Reminders regarding time and space
* Medication assistance
* Social, spiritual, physical and cultural programs
* Oversight 24 hours a day by a licensed health care professional
* Electricity, air conditioning and heat
* Escort to meals and activities
For residents requiring extra assistance, our supportive services plan, available for an additional fee includes:
Level 1 – All of the above services plus:
* Basic assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming and hygiene
* Incontinence care
Level 2 – All of the above services plus:
* Significant hands-on assistance with tasks of daily living
* Incontinence therapy and management including incontinence products
* Significant manageable cognitive impairment
ALZHEIMER'S AND DEMENTIA CARE
For residents with memory impairment, our specifically designed secured Alzheimer’s Disease neighborhood is available for an all inclusive additional fee. This program accepts residents with early through mid stage dementia, incontinence and somewhat difficult behaviors.
Our secure memory impairment neighborhood, McKendree Gardens, has been specifically designed for older adults with Alzheimer’s Disease/dementia. A country kitchen, two activities areas, a picturesque outdoor garden and an attractive living room combine many common areas with the privacy of single bedrooms which include their own personal bath.
Fees are on a month to month basis with no entrance fee.
All of the services offered in Assisted Living are provided plus:
* Staff specifically trained in dementia care
* Special programming all day and evening
* Incontinence products
* Family activity and involvement encouraged
* 24 hour visitation
* Special diets
