At Strabane Woods, residents experience both attentive and affordable assisted living in a community that is supported by a health care system dedicated to improving and enriching their lives.

Assisted living is a growing and dynamic form of residential care, serving seniors with a lifestyle, not just an apartment. One affordable month-to-month rent includes a spacious, private studio/efficiency or one-bedroom apartment close to hometown and family. Rent includes delicious home-cooked meals served daily, weekly housekeeping, utilities (except for telephone service), scheduled transportation, recreation and activities, and a 24-hour emergency call system in each apartment.

In addition, because residents may require assistance, Strabane Woods offers 24-hour nursing care and personal care services tailored to each resident’s unique needs. Experienced UPMC-affiliated physical, occupational, and speech therapists with specialized training in senior care provide rehabilitation services on site as recommended by your physician. Meals
Three delicious, chef-prepared meals are served restaurant-style in an elegant main dining room daily. Nutritiously balanced gourmet meals always include alternative selections for residents who require less sugar and fat for a healthy diet. Click here for sample menus.

Fruit and Beverage Bar
Beverages and healthy snacks, such as coffee, tea, and fresh fruit, are always available at our fruit and beverage bar.

Housekeeping and Linen Service
Our friendly housekeepers will clean each apartment to the resident’s satisfaction. Fresh sheets are placed on each bed and all dusting and vacuuming is done each week. Even light bulbs and toilet tissue are provided.

Paid Utilities
All expenses are folded into one affordable monthly rent. That includes utilities, property taxes, and cable TV. Residents are responsible only for telephone service.

Transportation
Our comfortable van transports residents to area shopping and scheduled appointments. Residents also are welcome to bring their own automobile. Resident parking is provided at no cost.

Private Dining
Located just off the main dining room, a cozy private dining room can be reserved for birthdays, special occasions, or any celebration with family and friends.

Beautifully Decorated Lounges
Inviting and simply spectacular gathering areas are scattered throughout the building. Residents enjoy chatting with friends in the living room near a warm fireplace, shooting pool in the billiards and game room, or stopping at the pub after dinner. Fresh popcorn from an old-fashioned popping machine is shared during movie showings several times each week on the large creen TV.

Chapel
Religious services are held in our interdenominational chapel. For residents and guests who appreciate time for quiet reflection or prayer, the chapel is always open.

Beauty Salon and Barbershop
As an added convenience, our professional hairdresser and barber are available for appointments several days a week.
