Nestled in the beautiful mountains of Central Pennsylvania, The Village at Morrisons Cove provides a wide variety of living arrangements, from cottages and apartments to 24-hour nursing care. At The Village, we emphasize care for the total person: mind, body, and spirit. Wherever you or your loved one find yourself in the aging process, we believe that the senior years can be some of the best years—years that you can spend learning, growing, and trying new things.

For nearly 100 years, The Village at Morrisons Cove strives to provide excellent care to residents and their families. We believe that our nursing staff is committed to our mission, and we continue to exceed state and federal standards for required hours of nursing care every year.

PERSONAL CARE

Personal Care offers an alternative to nursing care for those who require minimal assistance with activities of daily living and supervision of their medications. Respite care services are also available.

In order for an individual to be appropriate for personal care at The Village he or she should be able to ambulate independently, with or without assistive devices, and enjoy meals in the dining room with little or no assistance. The individual should also be mentally and physically alert and able to bath, groom, and dress themselves with minimal assistance.

Personal care services include:

* Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served daily in the dining room.
* Housekeeping and laundry services.
* Medical transportation.
* Social services and case management.
* Social activities programming.
* Chaplain services.
* Utilities.
* Management of medications and medical needs.
* 24-hour supervision by our professional nursing department.


Personal care services at The Court

We now offer Personal Care within our Court Apartments. These units are one and two bedroom, have a living room area, kitchen area, bath and dining area. Individuals can come in as a semi-private resident and share a room with another individual, or they can come in as a private resident and have a room to themselves. The difference is in the cost and occupancy. We also offer the situation where a couple can come in and one can be independent and the other personal care or both can be personal care. Also available, but not included in the daily rate:

* Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy.
* Dentistry, Podiatry, and Optometry provided on a consultant basis.
* In room telephone and cable services.
