Welcome to Steward Place, our brand new assisted living residence with conveniently located Commons dining, gift shop, library, computer room, country kitchen, and much more. In addition, our onsite Aquatic and Fitness Center offers SeniorFitnessTM, a directed fitness and aerobic program, massage therapy, whirlpool spa and heated swimming pool which includes a ramp for aquatic wheelchairs.
With fewer than 70 residents, we enjoy fulfilling our commitment to the personal touch, and we're proud to be known for our gracious surroundings, family-style meals, socially stimulating activites, and 24-hour supervision of medical needs by licensed nursing staff.
We also offer short, assisted living stays that are affordable and easy to arrange. Steward Place is the perfect place for those who need a comfortable home-away-from-home when families are out of town.
We welcome people of all faiths and there typically is no long waiting list. If you're looking for a different kind of assisted living, where "best" friends enjoy sharing a cup of coffee, relaxing on the front porch, or laughing at a joke, come and visit us.
The following are some of the most "frequently asked questions" about Assisted Living at Steward Place:
Do I have to be a resident of Ware Presbyterian Village to be considered for admission to the assisted living program? No.
Must I be a member of a Presbyterian Church to be accepted for admission? No. As a Presbyterian Senior Living Community, we enjoy the strength and stability of an organization that has served seniors for over 80 years. Caring for people is not just our job - it's our calling. It is our policy to admit and treat all residents without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, sex, religious creed, handicap or disability.
Why does being not-for-profit make a difference? Ware Presbyterian Village is proud to be a faith-based, not-for-profit provider which places "people before profits". While for-profit facilities have the dual responsibility of providing care and satisfying the needs of investors, our attention can be more sharply focused on meeting the needs of the people we serve. We also enjoy strong volunteer participation which adds to the quality of life for residents, even when the cost of these programs is not covered by Medicare and Medicaid.
What does it cost to apply for Assisted Living? There are is no application fee. There is a one-time $2,500 per person Community Service Fee payable at admission.
If I am only looking for a short stay, can you accommodate me? Though many of our residents have enjoyed living here for several years, we welcome respite and recuperative stays.
Are you reasonably priced? Our rates are competitive. The daily fee reflects the charge for the assisted living suite and the day-to-day costs of providing quality service and care.
